Awwww. This is pre-crisis Jason... right before he meets Rena, right? This was where Bruce put Jason and Selina together so he could have the two people he loves in his life not bickering over him. D'aww....
In this issue, there's this leaking stalactite and it's dripping down some kind of white liquid on a cat-shaped stalagmite in the Bat-cave. Bruce uses THIS for his analogy of his relationship with Selina.
Not even joking. It cracks me up every friggin' time.
There's another time when Jason tries to stop Magpie, but the only thing he succeeds in doing is tearing her top off by accident, letting her escape as he halfheartedly covered his eyes.
Literally out loud! It does not help that their bare legs are sticking out of the shadows, you can't know for sure whether they have anything on below the waist but their boots! Think clean ... uh, never mind. XD
is this before or after nocturna? i always thought she was a strange one, especially her relationship with jason and why he was so devoted to her. i never understood batman's fascination with her too -- was she supposed to be supernatural or something?
Jason saw her as a mother figure, or a least said he did so he could help Batman catch her in the act of one of her crimes, but he did become fond of her, and she was weirdly devoted to him.
And she was addicted to a narcotic perfume of her own devising, which also had the effect of attracting other people to her, and when she wasn't being mildly deranged, she was a deeply attractive woman with a total obsession with the night, Batman could relate to that, plus Jason liked her.

Date: 2010-02-27 11:30 pm (UTC)I seem to recall this issue. It's Detective, right? And I think the one you posted is Detective 561, IIRC.
