Isn't that usually the only part of him that actually changes when he's using the goblin serum?

If you look at the panel before Pete punches him, then the "I was the only one!" panel, it's clearly spreading. Before, there's normal skin between the green and his hairline, after there's no regular skin, just green and the purple of his Goblin hat starting to cover his hair.

I declare mystic crap to be at work.

Me thinks you're seeing things. It looks the same in all of the panels and I see no purple cap.

Actually, the purple does seem to be giving him a nasty case of receding hairline in the right hand scan.

I thought it was just a big ole bruise from getting clocked by the shield of AWESOME, but maybe there is something else happening. Sentry is a reality-warper after all - if the putatively good Osbourne was Sentry's ally, the Green Goblin is the Void/tentacle beastie/big ole booger of God's ally?

Or mystic crap :D Maybe he got Ares bits on him and has caught the supernatural.

I don't think it's suppose to be purple, it's his face turning red from being so angry.

...'Kay, now you're just being obtuse. It's meant to be the purple of the GG's hat. Look up the costume, almost every incarnation has it!

And then, when the camera zooms out and he's sitting there pointing, he has no purple, only green.

That seems much more like colourist's error. The purple area is very small, so it'll be quite difficult to add.

That looks like simplified coloring due to smaller scale - I wouldn't read too much into it.

Sigh. Osborn has always turned red and sweaty at moments like this. Nothing new.

I think that he was just going to a football game after finishing here.
