This is from Siege #3, by Brian Michael Bendis and Olivier Coipel.

Yeah, I don't know who that is either.

Still, we are born innocent.
Believe me, we are still innocent.
It's easy, we all falter, but does it matter?

Well, yeah. Pete majored in "Punching Norman Osborn" in high school, and minored in it in college. He's still an occasional contributor to the International Journal of Punching Norman Osborn. I saw him as a guest lecturer once--the man's a real authority on the subject.

That to me is Iron Man.

I think they really lost something from the 90es onward when seemingly every artist that came on board wanted to design a new suit of armour.

I remember when the the red and silver outfit debuted, it was quite a big event. Nowdays, it's like 'Oh Tony's got a new suit of armour..Must be a day ending in a 'y'.....Meh!

But yeah, The old classic suitcase armour that he had for..what about 20 years? If it ain't broke..don't fix it!

Marvel (and DC, for that matter) should really take note. SIEGE being only 4 issues has resulted in much tighter plotting and a lot more "OH SHIT!" moments, as opposed to their usual 8 issue long events that lose steam around the mid point.

How exactly is this an "Oh, shit!" moment? Nothing unexpected has happened.

I'm going to call it now and say that Wanda will show up to take him down, burn out her powers in the process and be restored to someone who's not really very powerful unless some supervillain needs her as their McGuffin device. Which is about every five years or so.

Call me weird, but...

I thought the best part of the issue was the stuff after the comic panels, with Maria Hill and the Chiefs of Staff going back and forth via old Nick Fury channels and getting and giving orders here and there. I thought that was very well done. >.>

Why are the civilians (like the reporter and her cameraman) seemingly surprised at Osborn having a goblin-like face? Wasn't it public knowledge that Osborn used to be the Green Goblin? I would have thought they'd be taken aback, but then they'd go "Oh, he's doing his old identity again schtick."

And that last image: is that Loki or Sentry?

Osborn's not supposed to come out of the armor with greenish skin and bad teeth. That's unusual.

The reaction shots to Norman unravelingmasking brings up a particular question and a pet peeve for the Marvel U in general: Why aren't the X-Men and FF right there in Asgard helping take Osborn down? Can they really claim it's "not their business?"

This is always bugged me, they way these big, public battle royales break out in the middle of New York City, and ONLY the Avengers, or ONLY the X-Men or ONLY the FF handle it without so much as a handwave Aren't these guys allies?
