Mack the Ripper, or Lulu Never Gets A Break

A bit that stuck out from the immensely enjoyable new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Black-ish' night story from Batman Beyond..

At the last NYCC I found a .50 cent box with almost the whole run of Batman Beyond, I finally got around to reading it. I think its one of the better cartoon adaptations .

DCAU - Why were you always so good to us?

Batman Adventures #12 remains one of my all time favourite comics... well, EVER! It moves Nightwing along in the DCAU to the point where he's in Bludhaven... but this isn't the Dixon-angst ridden Nightwing we got in the comics... this is so much more in keeping with Dick Grayson's personality it's untrue. (It's also VASTLY more fun). Ty Templeton writes and Rick Burchett draws

WWwA update, and Diana's take on 24

Look, pretty Diana!

For those who're interested, Chapter 17 of When Wondy was Awesome (in which Veronica Cale is Not A Nice Person and Diana writes a book) is now up at my journal. I can't put it here, because while each individual chapter is actually not so bad, the Rucka set as a whole is in flagrant violation of the 1/3 rule, and there was no way I could trim it down from the 1/2 issue format of our old LJ incarnation without shredding it. But it's good stuff, so go over there anyway. ^_^

Bruce denial: Cass: Murderer?

This is the beginning of Bruce's denial that Cass might have killed someone as a child. I say beginning because it comes up every time that event/possibility is referred to in her own series.

So cute, so fucked-up.

The Great Fables Crossover, Part 3

Kevin Thorn, god of the Fables universe, has decided to reboot the whole thing and start from scratch. Unfortunately for him (and fortunately for the Fables cast), he needs to decide what the new universe will be like before he can begin, and he can't do that because he's afflicted with a bout of writer's block.

Everyone. May I have your attention. We have a Thunder God.

Alright, everyone... deep breaths before you argue aye or nay.

Let's play nice... and remember that Vladimir Kulich was BORN to be the Odinson. Alas, he's too old now, but he may make a awesome Odin.

IGN has the scoop on who is cast as the wielder of Mjolnir

Batman/Green Lantern SHOWDOWN!

Long ago (back on Apr. 17 in fact) [insanejournal.com profile] scannertastic requested scans of the epic confrontation between Batman and Green Lantern. I just realized those pages are in the JLI trade I just got a week or two ago, and it's the perfect chance to try out the scan function on my new(ish) all-in-one. Soooo, from Justice League International #5, Sept. 1987, 3 pages plus preview image.
