The Met Gala took place, reminding you that the Hellfire Gala was, style wise, based on fact. Lil Nas X had an elaborate cape, which he removed to revealt a Gold Cloth from Saint Seiya (Okay, that's just my reading of it) then removed that for a sequinned jumpsuit... and somewhere on the fictional plains Emma Frost raised her champagne glass to acknowledge a worthy successor)

Emma Raducanu's phenomenal success in tennis, winning the US Open without dropping a single match at the age of 18, is the sort of thing that leaves even a sports agnostic like me completely awed.

Apple are patching a "zero click spyware" issue which could affect any of their devices.

And in a belated effort to add interesting things to the post, well, I found them interesting, so you have to live with them.

LEGO Star Wars will have a Halloween special which looks like it will include some evil "What if..?" scenarios, like... What if Luke HAD joined the Imperial Academy". (And lo, several thousand terabytes of fanart of Sith Luke is justified)

We have a new teaser trailer for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds which includes a list of characters, some of whom are new, some of whom are delightfully familiar (and ye gods, I have to respect the courage to must have taken to agree to fill some of these shoes!)
