Blue Beetle's going to appear in most of the Brave and the Bold's this year and we're hoping to develop a live-action show. Fingers crossed!

Hopefully they don't screw this one up... KEEP his family and friends as his support network that's for damned sure. Not grimdark, but not a pure sitcom. etc etc

There are a lot of visible minorities, it's true. But for major roles or leads...not nearly as many as you might think. This upcoming year is literally the first in a long time (if not ever) when so many minority actors will have shows with leads...and it could just be a trend like making Lost or Friends clones that goes away shortly after.

I'm not saying it can't work or that I don't want it to...just that I'm skeptical.

Well, in this case, it might have a better chance of things, seeing as how the lead has already appeared on TV in animated form as a Latino, so there's a precedent set - it's likely that people who would want to watch the show would have already seen him on 'Brave and the Bold', and become curious. Furthermore, Didio is apparently a fan of the character - he let the comic continue publication long after most would have gotten cancelled - so I think there's a fair chance that the show, if there is one, will be fairly faithful.
