Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, in cosplay, courtesy of AintItCoolNews.
Ahem. More DC Fail.
Hard-light constructs. Simple geometry, effective and efficient in purpose.
Not... "ribbed... for his/her pleasure."

This was good, too. Part Green Lantern, part Parallax.
Sigh.
For legality, Ryan is going to have to be able to pull off scenes like this without people snickering.

Date: 2010-07-16 04:23 pm (UTC)TBH I don't really know all that much about him, just what I've learned around the comics blogosphere. But what I have seen of him has mostly just made me go 'meh'.

Thing is, I don't know who else would look at that stuff and go, "Oh, Hal, you big schmuck, I love ya," rather than "Ugh, this is why he sucks!" At his best, he's the Captain Kirk of DC Comics, but more prone to delightfully oblivious fail. I wish Johns et al wouldn't take him so seriously.
FWIW, I actually got my girlfriend in GL in a big way with EMERALD DAWN, EMERALD DAWN II, and GL: THE ROAD BACK. Maybe it helps that she's an old-school STAR TREK fan, but she utterly fell in love with the entire GL mythos, Hal and Guy especially, and we both lament that Johns' Hal isn't as good as Gerard Jones'. I feel like that entire great run is ignored.
Rambling now. Sorry. Point is, if you're so inclined, give those a try.
