Why did they have to give a book full of characters I was not interested in at all to a creative team I can not resist? I love Gillen and Salvador Espin. And the Coipel cover lets me actually see what the characters look like. Ugh.

I probably will give Generation Hope a try but so far what I've been seeing from the first new mutants we've gotten in years is not all that interesting. Nor is the whole notion of "they're older than traditional mutants and feel like dying until hope finishes their activation".

No, I want actual mutants, who work in normal mutant ways, the group of superhumans I fell in love with. I hope there are lots more of them than just 5 and end this horrid 'on the edge of extinction' era.

What? No Spider-Girl? That's what got me most excited.
Paul Tobin writes REALLY good All-Ages stories and he writes female characters well. I am really excited for it.
Generation Hope is...
I love Kieron Gillen, but it's spinning out of Uncanny, which I can't stand, and it doesn't seem that interesting.

I just can't get excited for the new Spider-Girl title. Not when I think of all the characters that Marvel threw to the wayside just to make Arana more marketable.

Generation Hope has a really good Coipel cover and a really great creative team, only reasons I'm even considering the series, I could care less for the adventures of Hope and Laurie the Fishgirl. I agree with you on Uncanny, so dreadful.

Chaos War and related tie-ins were held back until 8/23 for whatever reason.

Maybe Marvel is giving us a PR blitz this week.

I'm dubious about Chaos War. It may be one of those things...like the Eleventh Doctor, Hickman's F4, and Final Crisis...where once I read it I'll kick myself for ever doubting it...but Hercules leading Galactus just feels like it undoes everything I know from DnA's work.

I'm not going to hate on it, but right now I can't bring myself to consider it something I want to read.

Chaos War almost seems sort of goofy. Hopefully not.

Looks like all the big sites are putting up interviews with the creators on the Chaos War tie-ins for November.

Marvel has Dead Avengers and Alpha Flight (as does CBR and Newsarama).

Where the F' were the Thanos Imperative tie-ins? Boooo!

Generally the art on that cover is lovely - Cheung's art always makes me happy - but I do have to echo the 'WHY IS BILLY GROWING OUT OF WANDA'S BREAST?!' sentiment.

I kinda want to like Generation Hope, and probably would because of Gillens involvement, but I'm just not sure I can be bothered investing in yet another new generation of mutants who'll just be sidelined, killed, or overlooked in a couple of years time like they always are.

I am wary of that Ant-Man and Wasp series. It *could* be good, but I really don't want whatever Hank's got planned to end up as another example of Good Idea Gone Wrong and I don't want to see Scott Lang's stint in the Ant-suit tarnished. This marvel.com story in particular makes me slightly nervous...

And Doom's going to be involved in the Children's Crusade? That certainly takes things up a notch.
