The first issue of Lockjaw & the Pet Avengers Unleashed came out this week; we've already seen the alternate cover and a preview of the prologue linked here. Tails of the Pet Avengers #1
Feb. 14th, 2010 01:19 pmperletwoSo, yeah, I'd say the mood needs a little lightening around here lately. Howzabout a few bits from Tails of the Pet Avengers #1? Because it is made of joy and win, my friends. It's composed of six five-page solo stories, starring Throg, Zabu, Ms. Lion, Lockheed, Lockjaw and Redwing. Here we have writing and art by the likes of Chris Eliopoulos, Ig Guara, Colleen Coover, Scott Gray, Gurihiru, Buddy Scalera and Joe Caramagna. It's just more fun than should be allowed by law, really.

Can't wait to see the Pet Avengers back in an ongoing title!

perletwo.insanejournal.comOK, I got my copy today and I can't stand it anymore - if nobody else's gonna post some pages for this ish, then I will. Two pages, my own crapola scans (for a total of three from a new issue when taken with this post).

perletwo.insanejournal.comIt was pointed out in an earlier thread (the Guardians of the Galaxy preview pages?) that the new issue of Lockjaw & the Pet Avengers hasn't gotten any love here yet. I got the ish today, and am here with 4 scans to remedy that sad, sad situation.
As you may recall from #1, Lockjaw was alerted to the menace of the Infinity Gems, found the Mind Gem, and recruited Throg the Frog of Thunder, Lockheed the Dragon, Redwing the Falcon, and Hairball and his sidekick Ms. Lion to help retrieve the remaining 5. From there they went to the Savage Land and quickly picked up the Time Gem and a new member.
They use the Time Gem to take them to find a third gem lost in the Savage Land...

First Dog Bo Obama stars in Puppy Power comic book
First dog Bo Obama will be the hero of his own comic book when “Puppy Power: Bo Obama,” written by Paul J. Salamoff and drawn by Emmy Award winning Disney and Warner Brothers artist Keith Tucker is released in September.
It will be offered with two covers, by Joshua Labello and Keith Tucker.
In this comic, Bo gives children an insider’s look at the White House, showing them who the real “top dog” is in Washington.
The suggested retail price is $3.99.

Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers Meet First Dog Bo Obama
Spider-Man may have had the pleasure of meeting the 44th President of the United States, but now it’s the Pet Avengers’ turn to team with a member of the Obama clan – First Dog Bo Obama.
The furriest team of heroes in the Marvel Universe will soon be joined by Bo in Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers #3 (MAY090507D, $2.99) – expected to ship this July along with a Niko Henrichon Variant (MAY090508D, $2.99). The famous canine will then return for a full guest appearance in the fourth issue, which will be solicited in June’s Marvel PREVIEWS.
In this third issue, Bo aids Lockjaw, Lockheed, Redwing, Hairball, the new Frog Thor, and more super-hero companions in their quest for the Infinity Gems, which will lead the team to the bottom of the ocean and bring them face-to-furry-face with Giganto.
