Personally, I felt badly about the look on Zatara's face when he realized Zee ditched him for the midnight show.

Course, that almost gleeful look as he described self-mutilating himself after that made up for it.

Actually, I found that more than a little disturbing. No desire to see him go all hardcore self-mutilation illusions.

As a semi-professional magician who *can* do the needle through tongue illusion, I have to say, it's not so bad, when you figure out how it's done.

Then again, this is Zach, and he could be doing it for reals. I've heard that piercing your tongue is painless, but I wouldn't dream of trying it in a million years.

Maybe it's just me, and I appreciate I'm not a target audience, but I REALLY don't like that outfit on Zatanna... it's just got too many clashing elements... the calf length boots AND the fishnets... The cut-under waistcoat essentially shouting LOOK AT MY BOOBS a lot more than necessary. It just looks untidy.

I agree. Plus a black or red bow tie would really break up the white expanse of dull that has encompassed her LOOK AT MY BOOBS area.

It looks a HELL of allot better if people drew her waistcoat/vest to be you know A WAISTCOAT or a VEST, rather than the corset/cincher thingy they have her in.

The straps of the vest are visable even with the coat on and help break up the white zone...and making her tie gold to match the corset thingy should help too

I agree on this, the vest is actually the traditional performer's ensemble (if you ignore the fact she has no friggin pants).
