That actually brings up a good point. I hate this, and I am raging. But, I don't remember having any sort of problem with Kate becoming inspired by Batman. So, what's the difference?
Kate was already a hero. She meets Bruce long after her discharge from the military; she'd already dedicated her life to protecting and serving long before she met him. The idea to be a vigilante, the significance of the Bat, sure, she got those from Bruce. But he didn't make her a hero, he didn't flex in a manly and inspiring fashion while she stared in awe, or tell her how to save lives when she would never have thought of it on her own.
Plus when she met Batman for the first time the impression I got was that they impressed each other, with her defending herself against a mugger instead of him having to rescue her etc.
The difference is Kate was an established civilian (in superhero terms) living in Gotham. She knows who Batman is but it is her interaction with him that sets the thought in motion. She assumes the mantle of the Bat - since even though she doesn't know him personally, she makes his war against crime and his methods (like Batman's "no killing" rule) her own (as a US Army soldier she would have been prepared to kill, as a "Bat" she is not).
Diana got her powers from the Gods, is sent to by the Amazons to be their Ambassador/Avatar, she doesn't live in Metropolis, doesn't know Supes from Adam. She has her OWN mission and her own way of super-heroing things that doesn't need Superman at all.
For me, it's several things. She's inspired by him as a symbol before anything else. It's very impersonal, and she works alone in most significant way. She already did a hell of a lot by herself to get to that point. And for me, one of the things about this is that Diana is one of not THAT many completely non-derivative female heroes, and that has very specifically just been taken away by the looks of these scans. Whereas Kate didn't already have that status to take away.
She's called Batwoman, it was gonna have to be in her origin somewhere.
Whereas this, with Wonder Woman? No, we have like seven decades of history saying Wonder Woman is actually just capable of going and being a hero. No inspiration needed, she can just go and be like "hmm I have powers, I will help people with these powers".

Here's a difference. Kate Kane/Batwoman NEVER did this in front of Batman. Can you imagine Kate Kane in her Batwoman guise going before the man himself saying something like this?
"My fellow officers in the military may have been trained to be soldiers who follow orders, but YOU have shown me a glimmering of what it means to be a hero."

I don't think so.
