Just wondering, do you know what tone policing is, how common it is used against someone finds something problematic and oppressive in the way it was presented, and how it frames any narrative of dissent into being over emotional and lacking in a calm, logical assessment?
Well yes, that happens everywhere. It's one thing to be angry about something and blurt it out, but if they don't put it in a good way (IE fully explain) it'll just be torn to shreds and have the person painted in a bad light.
It's interesting that you explain this as if it is an inevitability, taking away the accountability of spectators viewing a display of dissent at a problematic text to actually try to analyze what's going on and not dismiss it by telling somebody to calm down.
This is not some post where harsh words were thrown around and it would even be justifiable to paint someone in a bad light. What the heck are you even talking about? She said "I don't even have a rant for this." And it's somehow inevitable that one statement will be torn to shreds and painted in a bad light?
Are you defending that inevitability (that...hasn't happened yet), or are you defending the "calm down", which is not tearing one statement to shreds or painting someone in a bad light, and is simply police toning?
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.

Your argument's making no sense.
