I read the book. I've got it sitting right here. It's nice you liked it.
But it is horribly offensive to have him inspire Wonder Woman whether it's a retcon or not.

Have you been following both books? I think it'd be possibly offensive if this was a retcon that affected the REAL Wonder Woman, but since it only affects this temporary (and besides Hester's excellent salvage work, that hadn't come out when this was written) terrible version of her, it's not such a bad idea.

Additionally, I think it's fine for the lead hero in a title to inspire or teach a lesson to a guest-starring hero or vice versa. When Batman shows up in Wonder Woman's book (or vice versa), it's fine for Diana to show Bruce a thing or two. I kinda hope Hester does the next logical thing and has Supes appear in his book to let his re-retconned WW teach Superman something.

I'm glad you read the issue, though. There are plenty of folks on here complaining who clearly haven't. At least your opinion is informed, even though I don't agree at all.

Yes I have been reading both books. Did you know that Phil Hester has said that this retcon will result in a new, iconic origin for Wonder Woman? So the fact is that THIS will have an impact on the REAL Wonder Woman. And as he specifically spoke of her ORIGIN and this has to do with her ORIGIN it would seem to be an issue.

And it would be okay for a lead hero to inspire another hero, but to inspire a seminal moment like his? I don't think so. And if you think Wonder Woman is going to show up in Batman to inspire him, you have so much more faith than I do because it won't happen.
