Making it look easy is hard to do. Getting the characterization with such well known and beloved characters even more so.

And that's why they should only use really good writers on Spidey, instead of trying to "simplify" the character so less good writers can handle him.

This whole comic really summed up Peter and Johnny's relationship, also the reason Peter didn't go to the wake or funeral was because he couldn't believe Johnny had died.

If there's one thing useful about the FF/Spidey movie reboots, it's the whole shared universe thing in Marvel movies now. With that, I hope to see Spidey make an appearance in the FF movies and Johnny to appear in Spidey's movies to showcase their friendship. Make it happen Marvel.

Also, it makes me grit my teeth to even mention That Which Must Not Be Validated, but if they insist on a single, youngish Spidey, this kind of thing would definitely be the way to go.
