Greetings True Believers!

What's nice about being an Avenger?

Ask Spidey!

Peter is fighting a Mandrill-controlled Spider-Woman while Madam Web and Shang-Chi look on.

Apparently Peter has lost his Spidey-Sense and his fighting style has suffered. But he manages to defeat Mandrill and now time for the clean-up.

Ha.

Shang-Chi offers to train Spidey. Montage time. In preparation for the whole "Island of Spiders" thing.

After teaching him some skillz, He begins to help Spidey develop a martial arts form based around his powers. "The Way of the Spider".

I'm assuming it's like, "Punch, punch, kick, web, kick, banter! banter!"

Is Tony still poor?

According to Fraction's Invincible Iron Man, Tony has nothing left safe for a few helicopters and a laptop, as of immediately after Siege. So, despite Tony's strides in making repulsor-energy available to all, I'd say yes.

But it seems only Fraction's treating it that way.

Good. That that story was tired and played out twenty years ago.

We get it, Stark loses his money but earns it all back with a new venture. Woopty do.

Nothing against Fraction (usually), but these characters could do with new challenges.

Yeah, absolutely. I like Fraction's run, but so far, it does just seem to be like.. I dunno, Iron Man's greatest hits. You've got Zeke Stane who is the standard-issue 'I'm better than you' character who plainly isn't - The Hammer Girls, who are just better thought-out stand-ins for the likes of Obadiah Stane or Justin Hammer, and you've got stuff like the new armour, which, really, isn't much more than a paltry Extremis update rather than something entirely new from Fraction.

Tony did make that comment to Cap in Avengers that "my broke isn't like your broke."

Yeah, and that was good for the purposes of a joke, really, but much like a lot of Bendis' stuff, it doesn't tie-in cohesively with the rest of the Marvel Universe. If Fraction has Pepper Potts tell Tony that Stark Industries is basically fucked and has less resources than the average corner shop, Bendis should adhere to it, frankly. It diminishes the struggle Tony's supposed to be going through - as done to death as Tony being broke really is. If Tony properly owned something like Area 51, why isn't he selling it back to the government in IIM to make a few hundred thousand dollars or a few million?
