Full Line-Up for the DC Relaunched Justice League Revealed

A comic book related glass making company called "Toon Tumblers" released on their Facebook page what appears to be Jim Lee's promotional spread for the new Justice League, part of which will be used on drinking glasses given out at this years San Diego Comic Con. As a result, we now have the complete line-up of the Justice League in the wake of the relaunch:



In the center, going from left to right, are the seven members we already know:

• Aquaman
• Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
• Wonder Woman
• Superman
• Batman (Bruce Wayne)
• The Flash (Barry Allen)
• Cyborg

On the left side of the image, going from top to bottom, we have four additional members:

• Deadman
• The Atom (Ray Palmer)
• Element Woman (from Flashpoint: Secret Seven)
• Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond and Jason Rusch)

And on the right side, going from top to bottom, we have four more:

• Green Arrow
• Hawkman (Carter Hall)
• A woman who could be either Zealot, Power Girl, or Miranda Shrieve (from Flashpoint: Frankenstein and the Creatures of the Unknown)
• Mera

Call me crazy, but for some reason the redesigned costumes look a whole lot better when Jim Lee draws them.  Anyway, what do folks think?

Actually, I think he got retconned to be gay. In the one-shot he was in, Congorilla and Starman himself both referred to him as "gay".

Gay is the handiest Earth word (and the one less likely to start discussion), and probably the most contextually accurate since it's male human's he seems to be attracted to, but he was attracted to at least one females of his own specie, so I think perhaps he's more literally "xenosexual" (Hey, I might just have invented a new word!)

IIRC He notes in Starman that his sexuality can't be compared to a humans, since he's not human, and that Jack can no more understand it than he could understand what a dolphin finds sexy.

There is 2,770 google hits for xenosexual (the first being a urban dictionary def), and 913 for xenosexuality. When it comes to the intersection of sex and neologism, you have to try harder to make them brand new. :3

That's a pretty problematic thing to say, since it essentially means he's remaining partially in the closet to avoid a minor annoyance.

Regarding the species issue, It's not like the Earth superhero set don't include plenty of other aliens of both genders besides running into more aliens all the time. I can't see why he'd chose to define himself just by which humans he prefers.

For the first part IIRC he can't return home ever, so his attraction to his own species is no longer relevant to him.

Secondly how he defines himself, and the extent to which he does is his business, I'd say. He's already blue so probably has enough weird stuff to deal with.

Exactly. In the original Starman series he objected to be described in terms of human sexuality ("gay"), but in the most recent series he is in, he (and all other characters) seem perfectly content to describe him (and himself) in terms of human sexuality ("gay")

Perhaps he just got tired of having to explain something like alien sexuality whenever it cropped up; something like "Fine, I'm stuck on Earth, I like Earth men, so on Earth I'm gay, that's a term they'll understand and hopefully just shut up about. I AM more than just my orientation after all."
