What if there is something seriously wrong with Starfire in story? Is that possible? Can she be mind-wiped and emoti-blocked? Can we make it so that we get a tearful acceptance of emotion somewhere down the road and a liberal sprinkling of the word "Glorious"?

I think that would make the situation between the three of them skeevy(ier) though.

If Roy and Jason are aware that Kory is acting really out of character compared to how she usually is, and is displaying evidence of amnesia because of some kind of physical and/or emotional trauma or some evil meddling, they should probably be showing restraint when she starts propositioning them for cheap sex for no apparent reason.

One could certainly go that route and try to rationalize it - I thought that might be going on as well. But then Jason brings up that Tamaraneans as a whole really can't distinguish any two Earth people apart. We're just smells to them. (Which in itself is weird, because scent is the best way to distinguish between humans).

I'm just finally going to chalk it up to the idea that if DC was never actually serious about getting more female readers into traditional superhero comics, and it was all just the usual Didio marketing smoke screen, spin, and BS.

You're assuming she distinguishes BETWEEN humans by smell, as opposed to generic smells that she recognises as "human".

And it may be the best way in some respects and animals, but not for humans, as we're primarily a visually oriented species (aural orientation would be second, our sense of smell has atrophied as we no longer use it in earnest)
