Number 1 and 2 don't really solve the problem that, for Dawn, it'd still feel like sleeping with another man.

Another idea that just occured to me: cloning Boston Brand's body to make a body he can inhabit (but inhibiting brain growth) - there's so many ways to solve the age issue, whether Talia's solution for Damien or just having Booster Gold stash it in a hospital on life support twenty years in the past. Deadman could just stay in that body for things other than sex like CHEESEBURGER! (and beer...)

I realize that some of you might be opposed to the inhibiting brain growth idea, but all it requires is to adjust the cloning process so that the body never becomes sentient, hopefully Dawn would be okay with this (and given his characterization Deadman definately wouldn't be squicked by this).

Are you seriously suggesting shapeshifting prostitutes / magical golems / brain dead clones as sensible solutions to a relationship problem? Because that's terrible.

If magical golems or brain dead clones are actually a viable solution, then poof, there goes the entire Deadman concept. Now he is Aliveman who can occasionally leave his body to possess people. The problem here isn't characters acting like idiots, the problem here is an overly expansive fictional universe + readers who can't look at a story a smaller part of that universe without thinking, "well, why doesn't Zatanna just swoop in to magic everything okay?"
