i hope he manages to get her to safety before the "mutiny" and his fight against hope that is being hinted at in solicitations for the next few issues.
It may have shifted since it's introduction, but the original reason for it, as I recall, was to distinguish the concept from that of a cyborg. A cyborg is a human with artificial "parts". Technorganics is where the originating source isn't human, but mimics organics. Warlock and Magus were the first users of the term IIRC.
Right! In fact there was an Alpha Flight villain called Brain Drain that was a brain in a jar and had an artificial body. Why not dig it out of Department H storage, reshape it a bit more feminine, and plant Martha in it.
That would be a rather shocking looking character, a disembodied head in a jar on the body of a supermodel.
Ironically, there are now customizable options in City of Heroes to make that exact sort of character! ("Brain in a jar" was added as a purchasable head option during Halloween - floating eyeballs optional.)
It's a classic example of the Reed Richards is an idiot trope, besides that, I always liked the idea that Martha enjoyed being No-Girl. Sure, she has no physical body, but as No-Girl, she could be all she ever wanted to be.. and so much more.
Yep...MTE and I'm surprised no one else commented likewise.Perhaps they did and its old news that we have caught now. i dont follow Generation Hope. But any rate MTE !
When I saw that Frank Cho was involved here, I wondered, whose boobs will be featured? Sure enough, there's Hope, one of the less-endowed female characters in comics... with Wanda's dirtypillows framing her head like Leia's sidebuns.
Have they given a good reason for why kenji is so antagonistic toward Hope? I mean its not like he grew up a mutant and is just completely opposed to the "Xavier Dream".
I mean don't get wrong, I like what he brings as a character, I just think its stupid if he's contrarian for the sake of being the team contrarian.
Kenji has very good reasons to be antagonistic towards Hope. There's been a running theme throughout the series that Hope makes the Lights whatever she wants them to be, whether they want to be or not. It leaves us in this really weird situation where we aren't sure which of the mutants to support, the titular leader or the person who wants freedom to make his own damn choices without having his will and personality suborned by her.
Was it Shaw that blew up? He never really did sort of thing before the First Class movie, did he?
Btw I'm thinking of buying Generation Hope trades. I've heard the first few issues aren't that great so would it be better to just buy the second one or would one miss too much?
Shaw was strapped to a lot of explosives, he was a suicide bomber without the suicide part. I don't think he absorbed the explosion, just the kinetic energy that hit him. He was still knocked out.
