The Avengers seem to be rounding up all the X-kids who stayed on Utopia and sticking them in an internment camp. Here's an article on Marvel.com where Gage says what's going on.

Yeah I'm not really looking forward to this.

I'm not sure I understand. Even from the early teasers, people were generally negative about this event, and...really?

I'm supposed to believe that a team with Captain A-Fucking-Merica is ok with this? The same Cap who I rooted for in Civil War, and all it got him was shot in the head?

Y'know, if there was any "big event" that should have been cancelled or retooled due to fan reaction, this is the one. It's like Marvel WANTS people to root for one side. And that side will probably lose big and get treated like crap during that time. Y'know. Like the kids in the comic seen above.

Ugh. If you want me, I'll be re-reading Archie's Mega Man series, taking down shot after shot of Jaeger.

I can think of several Avengers would not be on side with this, several of which are on the New Avengers. So you have to wonder how this is has would happen. Sloppy writing and just deliberate to escalate the conflict.

Just like in Civil War. Marvel will make one side look like total assholes and the other like inocent victims.

I really hope this in the book itself the X-kids are not collared and handcuffed.

But this is going to blow up in the Avengers faces. If they really wanted to keep them out of this, just take them to Jean Grey School For Higher Learning. Leave them there with the warning if they re-enter the fray they are fair game.

By doing this, will just make Beast and Wolverine reconsider if they are with the Avengers during this cause I really doubt that they would agree to this.

Based on the cover for Legacy's AVX tie in it looks like the Avengers and She-Hulk are attacking the Jean Grey School.

Not going to lie, I wouldn't blame any of the X-Kids for destroying that thing.

They're being locked up by the Avengers against their will and there's a fricking Sentinel on campus?

i have such a hard time believing marvel will make the avengers the more morally reprehensible side in this. not when the avengers is the company's current favored franchise, not when they'll be heavily promoting the event alongside the upcoming avengers movie.

then again, iron man being marvel studios' biggest success didn't stop them from often employing tony as the resident dick in the comics.

Well that explains why we only see Magneto in one fight. They must find a way to take him out first, or else they'd have their blood pulled out through their eyeballs for this stunt.

Huh, well they had to balance the bad behaviour on the part of the heroes after Scott's "when we get control of the Phoenix, we can use it as a nuclear bomb allegory and start pushing people around for once!" speech.

Kind of have to side with the Avengers on this. Although I don't agree with the internment, obviously, Cyclops' speech kind of make it seem that he was trying to get a person of mass destruction to force Mutant Civil Rights onto people... which although good intentioned isn't a move that could possible end well.

Something that hasn't been discussed here yet is that Pietro teaches there. Magneto made Pietro promised not to act on any mutant-related issue again without consulting a mutant Pietro respected. What's he going to do? Who's he going to consult?

It's so strange how mutant relations are depicted these days. How can the wider world possibly still be anti-mutant? They're a beaten people. It seems absurd that anyone could possibly think that using a Sentinel is still ok.
When Magneto visited AA, they played it for laughs, with the kid's pet Sentinel all "Destroy all muta-Welcome Honored Guests". Which- I'm not saying the kid can't have a giant robot, just, at least change the paint scheme or something. Magneto watched sixteen million people get killed by Sentinels. He's pretty chill these days, but... not sure that's funny.

But then some comics are incredibly depressing about the whole thing, so I get whiplash on the subject. Who the hell is running O.N.E. anyway?

So the Avengers want the kids out of the way while they slug it out with the X-men? Ok cool, If only there was a prebuilt facility already made to house and educate genetically unique individual,s watched over by a highly respected member of both the X-men and the Avengers....oh wait.
