It is kind of funny that a writer that is considered to be one of the more liberal of the DC stable, happens to botch both the depiction and treatment of women so much.

That and the time he referred to Africa as a country, which when you're writing a series based in that continent is just flat out embarassing.

Awesome. Good to see he did some research before going into that project.

In later interviews about the project he does refer to it as a diverse continent, but then he talks about rural Africa... which is about as vague as saying "rural Asia". We kind of get what he means, but it's still as helpful as a map written in Old Martian made of a compressed neutron star.

With all this talk about the diversity of Africa, for some reason I doubt the book will leave the DRC.
