Batman: Death by Design

I thought that since no one seems to have talked much about this book, I'd post a little of it.

The story seems to be a return to the BTAS era of Artdeco Batman, and involves a series of mysterious disasters around the city that seem to be connected to a building (commissioned by Bruce's dad but in serious disrepair) that Bruce wants to demolish.

Definately one of the prettier Batman stories in recent years too.







I'll post more when the book's been out a month, as I believe that all new comics, regardless of format, you can only post four pages from, no?

I had a flick through this in the local WHSmiths up in town; Really enjoyed the visual style, which is something very noir-y that none of the Bat-Books are particularly delivering right now, but after reading some of Kidd's novels, I think I'm going to wait until it's reduced.

The plot is actually pretty more Noirish than most recent Batman books. I mean, although the Joker and a costumed vigilante-type other than Batman appear, the plot is really more akin to a more straight Noir story like LA Confidential, LA Noire etc. etc.
