So the first issue finally came out. And when I say "finally", I mean it-- this was announced five years ago.
This is something that I think you should check out and it would be difficult for me to do it justice in just four pages, so I'll just start off with the opening. (Keep in mind that this story takes place in the "future" and not the actual current canon)

So Daredevil's dead...what's next? Well, this is where the story begins as Daredevil (and Matt Murdock) have been out of the public for years after an incident that I won't spoil here. Ben Urich is trying to piece together what really happened with Daredevil and the significance of his last words. There are some interesting scenes here (Including a scathing indictment of the public of the Marvel universe, something we've been saying here for years) and the rest of the series promises to be just as interesting given that Bendis plans to show the rest of Hornhead's supporting cast.
Overall, I really missed Bendis on Daredevil so seeing him return (with co-writer David Mack) for one last hurrah on the character is very bittersweet.

Date: 2012-10-12 09:13 pm (UTC)The crowd had gathered there to watch him fall, to watch their hopes destroyed.
They watched them beat him, they watched them break him, they watched his last defense deployed.
There was not a man among them who would let himself be heard.
But from the crowd, from the collective fear, arose these broken words:
We are the dead

Date: 2012-10-12 09:23 pm (UTC)On the subject of the story, I too will avoid spoiling it, but I found the incident that drove Daredevil to vanish off the radar (hur hur) for years immensely cathartic.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing where this story goes, though frankly I'm glad that we're getting happy Daredevil as well over in the main title.
