Me too, but I'd say I liked him better without the bug eyes and inconsistent mouth. I know it makes him more expressive, but seeing an inanimate object talk without expressions was funnier to me.
The only other story with Frankenstein's head involves Bigby foiling a Nazi attempt to duplicate him/steal Bigby's blood to make a Nazi werewolve army.
Frankenstein, the Wooden Soldiers' Heads, some Barleycorn Brides and the Magic Mirror are all still in the Business Offices. They were there during "Witches" when Bufkin defeated Baba Yaga, and he left them behind to go on his adventure in Oz.
They are from Thumbelina, who herself was grown from a magical barleycorn that was planted and blossomed from the flower.
In the Fablesverse, there is a jar of magical barleycorns kept in the Business Office. A few are planted every now and then to provide women for the Lilliputians (the tiny people from Gulliver's Travels) on the Farm, because the Lilliputian refugees were all men.
When Bufkin was trapped in the Business Office during "Witches", he planted a bunch of these barleycorns so that the newly-grown Barleycorn Brides would help him in his attack on Baba Yaga.
I know "She freed many from bondage" is serious, and admirable, quote but all I can see in my mind's eye is Lily going into s/m gatherings and pulling gags off peoples' mouths. Followed by Yakety Sax.
I haven't read Fables in nearly a year. Don't know why I just stopped. But these covers make me want to pick it back up again. Even though I have no idea what's going on.
From the start to present-day (and counting its spin-off "Fairest") I think Fables has had the best run of comic book covers of any other title. They're all poster-worthy.
