In another news, "Fury Of The Firestorm, "Ravagers," "Savage Hawkman," "Deathstroke," "Sword Of Sorcery" and "Team 7" are all cancelled! However will they cater to the demographic that lead them to rehire Rob Liefeld now! Also, boo, to SoS getting canned.

Also, Batwing has been remade as techno-Black Panther for some reason.

Ravagers always struck me as something of a short-term book that could be folded back into Teen Titans anyway. It was spun out of The Culling and the concept of the book seemed sufficiently short-term anyway. There's only so many issues of 'kids on the run' you can really do.

I still think they're missing a massive opportunity by not introducing more of the Gen13/DV8 kids into the mix, although I think I love the Rebekah Isaacs look for DV8 a little too much to see those kids messed up with new visuals for the New52.

I'm awestruck by how beautiful the coloring is on the Superman page.

First Stormwatch, now Batwing. I wonder how many more New 52 titles are already getting this semi-reboot treatment.

Hey, Team 7 and Ravagers had it's good stuff there, the latter seemed to just start to get even better with a new writer attached.

The other creative team change ups that come from those cancellations should be mentioned: like Justin Jordan going on Superboy and Mike Alan Pearson (currently writing Ravagers) on Supergirl.

The Supergirl change is the one I'm least keen on, but as long as they keep the artist, I'll be relatively happy.

The interesting thing about the Supergirl thing is that apparently Power Girl is going to start playing a role in the book as well.

I had seen that, yeah. I was more delighted by the solicits DC have just put out, featuring PG wearing her pre-New52 costume on the cover of World's Finest. All respect to Perez and Maguire, but none of the designs for PG have looked that good.

I feel bad that I haven't posted more from Sword of Sorcery to promote it here, because there's been some terrific art, and impressive world building in the storytelling.

.... while it's written Orson Card (boooooo!) ....

Guess Jimmy Olsen won't be Superman's significant other in this version either. Bide your time Jimmy, it will come.

That Samnee cover is just so nice, I wish he could just draw everything. Apparently that's a variant cover, which..... How does that work with a digital first comic? It's too bad there aren't any women writing or drawing in the first volume though.

I'm not too broken up about the cancellations, though it seems like the new Deathstroke and Team Seven never got a chance to find their niche. I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what replaces them in DC's pointlessly rigid 52 titles per month rotation.

And damn, that Batwing redesign is 90's as all get out. I don't know if it's just the artist, but that whole cover looks a couple decades behind the times. The Channel 52 backup in the new Green Arrow seemed to hint that Batwing was going to be replaced by a successor, so that could be what we're seeing here.
