Last time on Chaotix Quest: The Chaotix found Mighty, who was working with the Sand Blaster "Freedom Fighters". Mighty was only with them because his Sister Tilly, was working for the local Dark Egg Legion chapeter. Mighty turns himself over to the Legion in order to met her. Tragically, Tilly has no memory of Mighty due to her age at the time of his exile. A devastated Mighty is then told he'll be used for a prisoner exchange in the morning, but the Tilly is happy (well a happy as she can be). Now the conclusion:

So Mighty is being held in special shackles due to his super strength, and Ray, Mighty's adoptived brother come to his rescue. Ray then learns what happened with Tilly and jumps on to defend his brother.

Good for you Ray.

Excuse me, I think I have some feelings in my eyes. OH CRAP ROAD RUNNER WITH A GUN!!!

BOOM! Ray's words have broken the shell around her heart.

Jack then decides he has had enough and has a missile fired at Mighty, Tilly once again goes for the power punch.

I do believe Mighty is going to @#$*@# some @#$@#$ up!

Who needs chaos emeralds when you have the power of heart!

Needless to say, Jack and his gang run like frightened girls. Mighty says his good byes to his sister (she has to stay for her own safety) and Mighty and Ray return home.

Wait, now who could that mysterious long eared figure? Well that answer will have to wait as next month is Shard vs. Metal Sonic!!!

Ya know, the fight scenes in the last two Sonic comics, this issue and Knuckles vs. Thrash, have been far more visceral than anything I've read from DC or Marvel in ages. And there was no blood or gore to be found.

Honestly, the big two need to study the concept of 'less is more'.

They may not be "superstars", but the works of the likes of Mike Parobeck (Whose name I mention because of his work on the BTAS title) and Rich Burchett (ditto) who could/can do with ten lines what other artists struggle to achieve using a hundred, should be required reading for all up and coming artists IMHO.

This was a great end to the story. I wasn't too interested in the part with the merry men expies, but the Sand Blasters, Tilly.... strong stuff.

It's a goddamn shame that these good comics sell like crap, while terrible comics sell like hotcakes.

I know, I know, YMMV, different people like different things. But let's be honest: plenty of people would like this comic if only they gave it a try, but they won't because "Sonic is for kids" or "eww, furries!" or something like that. Damn shame.

Plenty of other things have shitty fans (Supernatural, Sherlock, Harry Potter) and that didn't make them any less hugely successful.

I'll comment: Sonic comics have gone up in sales since Ian Flynn started (About 1.2k higher. And Sonic Universe is currently selling better than it's second issue), *and* they have a lot of newsstand sales unreported by the normal comic-tracking.

So I'd say, while gradual, it's been attracting people.

Sonic Universe, btw, while lower than the main, is way above the previous Sonic side title (Sonic X) and has the longest run of any side-title to date.

There's a reason they keep giving Ian Flynn more books ^^ (He does Megaman too, which is selling about the same as SU)

Oh god I loved this mini-arc. So emotionally charged and done oh so well, from Mighty's desperation to reach his sister, to Tilly's emotionless breakthrough, to The Baron's benevolence and sheer depth, and even Jack and his ruthlessness and willingness to be an absolute monster. (I love the polarization between the Sand Blasters and this chapter of the DE Legion; it totally blurs the lines and I loooooooove it)

And EEEEE! I was right about Bunnie!!

(I also hope Ray & Mighty keep those duds, because they really mature them a bit)

It could always be some *other* relative of his!

Other relatives would, of course, also be bunnies ^^
