I didn't see anyone posting this yet, which is a terrible if I do say so myself.
While there are many great X-books out there, this may be my favorite one, which is a shame as it seems to be underrated and outshined by Wolverine and his amazing friends and Cyclops with his shenanigans (although I do enjoy those books as well). If you have not read this series I urge you to pick it up.
The posts deal with the budding relationship between Blindfold and Legion (Blegion?) from X-men Legacy 7. I considered posting the scenes with Agent Brand instead, who is delightful as ever, and the dealings of spacecrime, but I opted for Blegion as I'm finding myself surprised with how much I'm liking the pairing and both of their character developments (although I couldn't stop laughing at "Justice! Mighty justice from space!") If someone had told me two years ago that they would try to make these two a plausible couple I would never believe it, but hey, here we are.
The story picks up with David deciding to check out the religious hate-group that Ruth's brother Luca was apart of, which called for a bit of theatrics:

After deceieving the group David is brought to a room and left alone to pray, but instead converses with Ruth, who is astral projecting and following him.

So Legion is getting rid of problems that face his people before they escalate, which makes him like a one man X-Force, but with less sharks porting into villains.

I like where this is going. Also, space justice.
So Brand shows up due to Legions handiwork the last couple issues to deal out some of that space justice and gets tricked into hulling of the zealots instead. She give David a "I'll be watching you" sign and leaves. Hopefully we'll see her again, as there's no such thing as too much Brand.

So David gets a second date and a book of prophecies. I'd call that a good day.
The arts a little off compared to the other books, but the writing here more than makes up for it.
Anybody out there enjoying these books as much as me? It's one of the book I really look forward to.
Space Justice!

Date: 2013-03-16 04:41 am (UTC)The art was definitely a little off this month, I think it's mostly the faces, but the book as a whole has a had a pretty consistent look to it from the start, even across multiple artists.
And I like Legion's vest.
