as much as i like that he's.... working with the hulk.... it still feels like the development he made in his last two mega archs are once again dumped...
Agreed. This is good - it's hard to go wrong with Mark Waid - but compared to the Hulk we've had recently, this one just feels like a nonentity. I get that Hulk's a force of nature - but can't he be a character too?
YOU DARE DOUBT THE KNOWLEDGE OF SOMEONE WHO TOOK CHINESE AT THE GCSE "A" LEVELS (and got a 'd', but that's not important)??
The four characters in the first panel are "欢迎乘坐". The superfluous and overly complicated characters you might be thinking of are Traditional Chinese, and not the Simplified Chinese used here. As evidenced above, Chinese characters are readily available in Windows default fonts, making those chicken-scratchings which are worse than even my usual handwriting inexcusable (to me, at least).
...Unless you're talking about the characters in red, which are totally Japanese and in which case I'll shut up just about now. :P
Haha I was in fact talking about the big red letters, though I did recognize the other ones as chinese. Which begs the question of why there are both chinese and japanese words in the scene

Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
