Dick is still trapped by the Prankster, but uses a foam pellet to put out the fire, and then comes crashing through the glass, and listens closely to determine where Prankster is and throws that string with two balls at the to trapped Prankster.








Prankster deduces that Tony Zucco is going by the alias of Billy Lester. With that in mind Dick handcuffs Prankster to a pipe and takes his tech glove. As he was never really going to let Prankster go, just stop hunting him. Which wouldn't be a problem if he was in jail.

Tony Zucco and his new family are getting ready to go on a last minute vacation, as headlines of a Gotham vigilante in Chicago are all over the papers.

Later at night Dick finds the empty apartment of Billy Lester, which seems very off to him, as it's not befitting of Zucco at all. But sure enough, Dick finds a photo of Zucco with a family. That definitely complicates things and confuses Dick.

Alas Dick warns him not to "get cute", which means something else ("Don't try to outsmart me"), but I doubt that's stopped the slashfics, I don't go hunting for such things myself, but this IS the internet.

Haven't been to my comic shop for a couple of weeks so still have to pick this up.

Love bored Nightwing doing balancing tricks with his escrima, I always imagined Dick must have been a NIGHTMARE on stakeouts with Batman, getting him to sit still probably required a nerve pinch.

Say what you will about Ms Grayson but in her Prose novel 'Inheritance' she had Roy observe that when Nightwing and Batman were in the same area Bats was angled himself to both box and loom over Nightwing.

Roy theorized it was reflex to in essence box Dick in to keep him in one place at least LOL.

I know, right? I couldn't have cared less about this book prior to the location switch-up and change in artists, to be honest, but I'm liking this. *grumbles about having yet another eventual trade to add to the list*.

So glad this book took a fresh direction, the new art is fantastic! I want icons of Dick balancing that escrima stick. Heck, I want icons of half these panels!

It does surprise me that with all the changes DC does and the general tone of a lot of books, Dick has pretty much stayed Dick.

Well, aside from still not knowing what the rest of the DCU thinks of him... His status as "The most trusted hero in the DCU with the possible excception of Superman" (For prime example see here) is more doubtful, since he never seems to have left Gotham before, rather than running at least three different teams of superheroes before he turned 21.

Yea, his wider stance is fairly unknown, but in his bubble he hasn't changed much.

Three different teams? I thought his Titans connections were pretty much gone... especially considering that Tim's Titans team has been the only Titans team ever in DCnU. (Unless they retconned that again, I dropped Titans a while ago)

I know he's all the way in Chicago and only packed one suit, but can't Alfred fly in and repair the suit better or FedEx him another Nightwing uniform? Maybe Kori can send him some of his old ones from her creepy spacewreck lair...

I don't like seeing the Nightwing suits stitched together like that. Sloppy workmanship.
