The Wizard has abducted Bentley-23 with the intent of making him the final member of the newest incarnation of the Frightful Four. Other members of the team include Blastaar from the Negative Zone and a mind-controlled Medusa of the Inhumans.

Not because I have any particular love for the Wizard, but because Blackagar should have more empathy towards a deranged man who uses mind control as a way to get acceptance.

Not necesarily, it depends who is saying "goodbye", is Medusa passing on Black Bolt's message, or is she saying goodbye because she has to leave them there so that Black Bolt can try the same sort of cure that he used with his insane brother Maximus, which involved BB using his voice on him (eg "having words with")

Ohhhhh, I hadn't thought of Black Bolt trying curing him with his voice. I hope that's the case.

I can see why Black Bolt would be so unforgiving, given the Wizard and Medusa's history together...it just would have been nice to see any of the other heroes even being a little shocked, though I guess maybe we can assume that nobody other than Medusa even knows he's been sentenced to death yet?

Whether they're okay with it or not, I don't think there's much they could do about it.

For my part, I'm surprised it's taken this long for Black Bolt to do something about The Wizard personally. "Mind control Medusa" is part of the dude's regular repertoire.

Well, it kinda sounds to me like someone using a word they've heard without quite understanding what it means.

Well, given that in the panel to the left of the Wizard as he makes that declarations are the Moloids, one of whom has recently started to identify as female (I'm not sure if the Moloids even have sex... er, in the sense of being physically male or female that is, but she had originally been referred to as one of the four brothers), maybe not.

physical gender and gender identity are not the same thing. a person can be born gentically one way (in the moloids case whether or not they have a specific gender is moot because they identify as a gender)

Well, yes, that's pretty much what I was saying. The Wizard calling his family out as cisgendered isn't just using a random word, because at least one of the people he's addressing is not cisgendered, IE, identifies as a gender different from their sex (in this case, I'm using sex in the same sense as you seem to be using physical gender). My comment that I don't know whether the moloids have a physical gender was me musing whether the three who still identify as male would be considered cisgendered.

that was actually HILARIOUS! the funny thing is it isn't even really a heteronormative cisgendered family (which i would classify as the "standard" Nuclear Family).... none of the members are genetically related (except for maybe Wiz and bentley.) so they are at best a blended family.
