I really think that Snyder gets too much credit on account of American Vampire. Sure that one series is good, but his superhero stuff is distinctly middling and way overblown. Snyder's superhero stuff so far strikes me as kind of adolescent, not in the way of showing lots of tits and gore and being "GROWN UP" but in just not being particularly aware of itself, if that makes any sense.
