Wow...although isn't Bode's spirit still around? So there's still a chance.
And just out of curiosity, does the whole town now know of the supernatural existence of the keys and the demons of the manor, or is it still just the Locke family and a few select people?
And I seriously can't wait for all of the trades to be available. Thanks for these scans.
The way the Key-house works once you age into adulthood you can't perceive how the key works. Unless you do something like drink alcohol which is why. All your memories that involve the key gets replaced by fake ones.
In other words any kid will know about the Keys until they reach adulthood.
But who knows what's going to happen if the house burns down...
"Details are still emerging on the as-yet unexplained cave-in at Lovecraft harbour town, where several teenagers have been confirmed dead and many others wounded in what appears to be an incident of mass panic. Though many are said to have climbed to safety through a fire escape near the local residence known as Keyhouse, that residence was later immolated by an unknown attacker, which may have led to additional deaths. More information as the story breaks..."
I think it will end up as a mix of this and the magic behind the keys becoming observable to adults once more. Too much has happened at this point for it to be so easily explained away, plus there's additional stuff unrelated to this incident like the whole thing with the English teacher early on in Head Games; Too much involving Dodge does not add up, even after his 'death' at Kinsey's hands.
Welllllllll, the house burning down doesn't mean the well-house burning down. All they have to do to get anyone they love back is summon them up in the well-house, get them out with the Anywhere Key rather than through the well-house door, and bingo, alive again on condition they never ever step through the well-house door again.
Okay, sort-of alive. More of an echo, as you see above. Maybe they wouldn't age (Luke/Zack didn't seem to), but...that might be...good?
Or who knows. Maybe the black door didn't burn down. But then, it could be Bode's ghost goes through it and he wakes up in a coffin.

This series isn't hugely good at happy endings.
