I agree! I always really like what I see here but then forget about it on comic day because I only buy marvel stuff these days....I get all my stuff through comixology now which is very convenient and makes for much less storage issues, but the downside I guess is that I miss out on that experience of browsing the racks and getting something new because it looks fun...
See, this is why I want Wondy to lead the Justice League. She's an advocate of peace, sure, but she also won't word away from an actual fight when things go south, especially if she feels she's responsible.
I feel sorry for what happened to her, though. That's 3 for 3 for the DCAU Trinity.
Yeah, that "Reform the Justice Lords" argument must've been a real hard sell for Diana to make. I think like half of JLU's story arc was an indirect result of the Justice Lord's little field trip.
I agree on that. Not to mention, she's trained in stuff like that by the Amazons, so by default of the other two not having said training or anything along those lines she's the most qualified of the Trinity to lead them.
You're correct, though I can't answer to specifics -- the story I recall involves that Green Lantern stepping down and the planet descending into civil war over who's going to succeed him.
It always seems that Green Lanterns are granted a ridiculous amount of autonomy (the Guardians themselves admitted as such in John Stewart's trial in the DCAU). Presumably this is attributed to the fact that Green Lantern's are scattered across space on their own. They are the "man on the ground" so to speak so the Guardians trust that the GLs carry out necessary actions to resolve conflicts.
And since the JLU-era Earth doesn't seem to have any kind of FTL-communications, they presumably can't report their local Lantern's wrong-doing.
See this is why something like the Alpha Lanterns were necessary. Certainly not to the extreme that they were taken to, but every police force needs some sort of internal affairs division or oversight to combat corruption
Maybe the fact that there were 7 Justice Lords in control, instead of a single person. Plus who knows what spin they put on the story of why they are in charge.
I thought it was something like that. Buy could have sworn in the latest arc he was still older. Though to be honest I haven't been keeping up with this book
I agree, it's probably half the BMB Lazarus Pit plot and half the artist's personal style, kinda like how each penciller draws Bat's cowl ears differently.
Seems like the Bruce/Diana romance is still alive here. Seeing the two of them just comes off like two lover reunited after being apart for years along with the complications that always got in the way.
You might be smug Lex that you didn't tell the Justice league that the effect of the ray machine on the Justice lords was temporary. But should you also be worry that when Justice lords might want to take revenge on you someday for temporary taking away their powers.
Yeah circumstances work out that some of the Justice lord got somewhat reform. But what if things turn out differently....
