So the Thunderbolts are still after these guys...



...the heads of the Paguro crime family. They've tracked them down to their hideout and are now fighting an army of mobsters. Simultaneously, the events of Jonathan Hickman's INFINITY are happening in the background: Aliens are invading New York, and now it's reached the point in that storyline where Blackbolt launched his Terrigen Bomb.

Three of the mobsters -- not the Paguros -- get Inhumanized by the bomb, and a fight breaks about between them and the other mobsters:

Good god! What happened to your foot, Flash? I think even Liefeld draws better feet than that now.

Are Flash's legs still amputated? So he kinda has an excuse, since they're exactly the shape the symbiote makes them. The rest, not so much.

I don't think that it's a problem with this art style; Liefeld would exaggerate every other part of the anatomy, then draw these dainty little triangles.

Grrrrr this bothers me so much. Not only because it's an annoying visual inconsistency but because Marvel's cheated us out of having a moustached Hulk

Yeah, I can see why they didn't have the 'stashe when Red Hulk was first introduced, since they tried to have the whole mystery of who he was. But now its just silly.

Someone said "The same place Ben Grimm's hair goes when he transforms." Might have been Loeb, I'm not sure.

There's some precedent. She-Hulk's hair is usually longer than Jennifer Walters'.

Didn't Doc Samson say that gamma forms are shaped by the subconscious? Ross's Hulk form is just a red version of the Hulk that has haunted his life, it's not a muscled up version of his own body

Huh. Frank/Elektra. Makes a certain amount of sense, even if the only place I can remember seeing it before now was a Post-Apocalyptic X-men/Spider-man fic.

The main point of conflict in her relationship with Daredevil was always that she kills people. Frank has most of the qualities she likes in Matt and is more accepting of her career choices.

I think that they have been a couple, or at least on/off sexual partners, in a couple of different places. In Marvel Knights I'm pretty sure they semi-dated for a while, for example.

Y'know, I dropped this series after the first arc or so. But the scans from this arc have been frighteningly entertaining. Even giggleworthy.

I may consider picking up the trade at some point.

But the art is still disturbing. It reminds me a little of New Mutants era Sienkiewicz with the blocky heads and weird shapes.

Different writer, I think? I'm not sure when this one took over, but I intend to grab the trades at the start of Palo's run.

Yeah, Charles Soules took over writing duties from Daniel Way. His first issue is technically #12, but both that and #13 are written as fill-in issues. His run proper begins with #14.

I despised the art when I first saw it but I kinda dig it now! I don't think id like it for straight-up superhero stuff but it's got good energy for this kind of story :)

I don't really care about any of these characters and actively dislike Red Hulk but I have really enjoyed the scans from this story, I might check this out on comic day :)

The only bad thing about this is that I thought that the neo-Inhuman on the cover with the Darth Maul horns was going to be a new member. (And, who knows...)
