My mouth dropped a bit in reading the most recent issue of GI Joe so I thought I'd share with you 4 pages from that issue, and 7 from the preceding one.
That cover is funny, it's symbolic nothing even close to that happens, but it's funny.
Following their failed and disastrous attempt to take the Pit, Cobra is slithering underground, the Crimson Guards are resuming their original mission of infiltrating American life and manipulating the system from the inside... but before Cobra Commander switches to stealthier tactics there's a loose end to take care of. A loose end named Destro.
Cobra Commander begins his plan to take out Destro by kidnapping Zartan's sister, Zarana, and his goons severly injure the Dreadnok Road Pig in the process. At the hospital Roadpig receives a visit from a state trooper.

Sometime later Destro and the Baroness are preparing for a hunting excursion on Destro's lands in Scottland, they are being monitored by the GI Joe team by remote drone (they gained permission from MI6, the issue deals a bit with privacy vs security and mentions that Cobra's actions in their previous headquarters will cut the Joe team's probable cause to monitor that area).

Destro becomes wise to the fact that Zartan has infiltrated the grounds.

The Baroness soon gains the upper-hand in the fight, and while Destro would wish for Zartan to be taken alive she's determined to see him dead, so he'll never again be a threat.

Later still Zartan meets with Cobra Commander at a rail car museum to make the trade... The Commander is delayed slightly by one of his two Crimson Guard escorts needing to take a bathroom break.
After Zartan presents the mask as proof of the assassination, Cobra Commander, predictably, turns on him.
