Moon Knight #4 - "Sleep"

"I'm aware that I can't really go to the big muscular takes of people like Charlie Huston or Brian Bendis -- those pieces have their own DNA, and people would recognize a cheap clone a mile off. My touchstone has been the original run by the character's creator, Doug Moench, through the Sienkiewicz collaborations up to the top of Kevin Nowlan's debut as artist." -- Warren Ellis
Moon Knight volunteers to sleep in the same building as the patients, so that he can experience the dreams for himself and figure out what's what.

Date: 2014-08-03 09:19 pm (UTC)He's a technically proficient, rather talented writer who I just don't seem to click with on any level 90% of the time. Planetary is the big one that happened with.

Date: 2014-08-04 11:11 pm (UTC)Take this Moon Knight run, for example. When did Ellis ever promise or say he was going to stick beyond six issues? You characterize it as "taking a break" as if he was originally going to do more Big Two work but changed his mind, yet there's no indication of that. For a long time now, he's only been doing the very occasional project for them here and there (and never pretending otherwise), and this is just the latest instance of that.

Is Tony behind this? This feels like something Tony would do.
