A shorter Tales from the Tomb story. Script by John Stanley, art by Tony Tallarico.

Okay, so this one's not particularly scary in its execution, and the ending is predictable. I like it, though, for the unique premise (I'm pretty sure there aren't too many horror stories involving people being quilted), for Grandma's old-timey nurse outfit, and most of all for poor Miss Birkley's over-the-top melodramatic writhing. Hee hee hee.
More, and creepier, John Stanley tales to come. Stay tuned!
(P.S.: Mr. Quilt looks more like a Mr. Pineapple, wouldn't you say?)

Also, apparently this Quilt guy is a licensed psychiatrist. So me made his way through college, got his license to practice, bought an office, and even paid to get his grandmother nurse training, and nobody seemed to mind or notice that he was made of quilt.

I like this optimistically hilarious interpretation.

"Dammit, Grandma! I specficially asked for Serta!"
"What's the difference? Be grateful I didn't get sleep number!"
"You're right. *shivers* controlling a woman by control pad. What kind of sicko does that? Anyway, we should get started or else she'll wake up before we're done."
