31 Days of Scans- Favorite Friendship: Negan and Carl

Perhaps 'friendship' is too strong a term and I suppose in many ways it's one-sided but I really like the relationship between Carl and Negan in The Walking Dead.

As a warning there's something here that might be considered gory.

First two scenes are from from #105, second scene is from #127-128.



Carl had previously tried to kill Negan, but Negan was impressed and respected Carl for it.

When Negan wants to see what's underneath Carl's eyepatch:





Later, after Negan is detained by Rick and co, Carl confides in Negan over the three year period.









Poor Negan. Hopefully Carl will come around.

Gore? Nah, I see pictures of kids with gaping, empty eye sockets all the time, what are you talking about.

Characters like Reagan here are really interesting to me. Whenever a writer plops somebody like that into a story and all but says "This is a REAL antagonist", like with that ridiculous wretch the Governor, finding the common denominators between them is always illuminating.

Here's to Reagan and his new best friend, dysentery.

*shrugs* I've seen more upsetting images in the newspaper and the covers of news magazines and (arguably) more graphic imagery in Batman comics. But I figured better safe than sorry.
