The Silver Age title Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen was full of cracktastic scenarios, but perhaps none as bizarre as this, from #79 (Sept 1964; writer Leo Dorfman, artist George Papp):

Context (as if it matters): While Jimmy's at home grooving to the Beatles and wearing his red-haired Beatle wig, a crook from the future tricks him into transporting him to Biblical-era Israel. The crook leaves him stranded there, but not before Jimmy's managed to befriend the hero Mighty Youth (revealed later in the story to be Samson). Mighty Youth advises Jimmy to make the most of things and find work, so Jimmy becomes a sheep-shearer. This in turn gives him an idea for a side business venture:

"Like a beetle on a hot stone." Hurr hurr, subtle, guys.
