Looks like red suit Spidey is married, presumably to Mary Jane. So maybe he's supposed to be "No One More Day" spidey. No idea if Black Spidey is supposed to represent something.
The only connection I can make with Blacksuit Spidey is the One Moment in Time story, which explained the marriage retcon. I mean, that's technically the past of the 616 Spider-Man, but there's also a Future Foundation Spider-Man in that final splash, so I don't think they're being too particular about the mechanics of continuity here.
Not really. Peter's a wisecracker in a weird, awkward situation. He's also a caring, emotionally vulnerable guy who's used to keeping his loved ones safe. I can see him being loathe to even subconsciously bring up his personal life like that.
He could have also said, "MJ?" in the list without referring to them being married or not - they both would consider her important without thinking to say 'wife' or not.
It's a silly little thing, I know, but on-page assurance that wedded Spidey still exists somewhere in the Multiverse makes my heart sing. Good way to start a Thursday morning at work.
No need for hacks if he wanders into Marvel Heroes 2015 world. The amount of superheroes that'd jump him the instant "Morlun spawned" notification comes up would be downright overkill.
Wait...if that's supposed to be Renew Your Vows Spidey, why's he got mechanical webshooters? Shouldn't he have organic webbing like 616 did till OMD? Even if you accept the premise that 616 Peter is the only one to have fought Morlun & won (ie The Other never happened), didn't he get organic webbing before then, via the Spider Queen (who Slott knows about, so ignorance is no excuse)?
Still, it's a nice little story. I think I'll give Renew Your Vows a try, to support the marriage if nothing else. Hopefully it'll be more like this (and Spider-Man/Human Torch), and less like basically the rest of Spider-Verse by Slott.
Has it been said that the renew your vow Spidey is from that period? Because they were married for quite some time in the books, and I'm sure through most of that he had web shooters. And if it is an alternate later timeline he could have lost the abilty again. I mean did he have it in the mc2 future? As I thought the Spidergirl series had him with his more traditional abilities. So anything's possible I guess..
Well the Renew Your Vows teaser is clearly in response to One More Day, since it features the child that was undone by the deal, so I'd assume that Peter is from around that period.
And I don't think the explanation of how he lost the powers was very adequately explained.
MC2 Peter never had organic webshooters, since he retired and never encountered the Spider Queen. Presumably the Other also passed him over as a result.
Guess that wasn't Marvel Super Heroes Spidey, then. Going by the background I suppose that's the original Marvel vs. Capcom. The kid's got good tastes, I must say.

Could they show Tobey Maguire Spiderman and Andrew Garfield Spiderman, without running into movie license problems.
I kind of what to see them interact with talk with each other.

Nice shoutout to the Maguire and Garfield Spideys. And Broadway Spidey!
And thank the Maker, Electric Company Spidey is still alive! For now.
And thanks to everyone for pointing out the wedding band. I would never have noticed it. (no sarcasm, I swear)
