probably. but one quick look from anyone else and they can tell he is full of S***. Batman has a general rule that he is not Judge Dredd. his job is not to act as executioner and set sentences on people. his job is to capture criminals and let Gotham do the rest.
Oliver and the rest, when they mind swipped both of them, were acting as Judge, Jury and executioner. they took the law in their hands and decided that both of them should be done this horrible thing.
I don't disagree. And what's worse if that except for Zatanna none of them were ever called on it - even when they appeared with Batman in a comic. Heck, Superman, Wonder Woman and none of Bruce's extended family (outside Selina) even knew about it. When St. Barry came back to life, Wally never even mentioned it to him. DC plants this explosive bomb and never follows up (except for the mini JLA arc Geoff Johns wrote which basically only acknowledged Batman remembered and wanted nothing to do with the one who voted - which was never followed up on except with Zatanna).
It was even worse than that. When Johns wrote IC, he constantly referenced Batman's increased paranoia, which had been established already to have been the result of the mindwipe, but basically ignored the reasons behind it. Instead it was Batman's journey to get over his failing to trust people, which included the people who had mentally violated him and expressed no remorse to him over it. This even though the mind wipe storyline was a core storyline in his Flash run.
It is insane to the level Johns uses Batman as a punching bag in the DCU.
Eh, from those pages, I had to wonder if Johns liked ANY of the trinity. That set of pages is basically three of the greatest heroes of all time taking potshots at one another for situations that the same set of writers had just barely established, not like.. Any real storied or historical problems save the Batdickery you *just* retconned in a recent story. It's like complaining that there's shit on the floor when you just went and took a dump there yourself.

INFINITE CRISIS had this. Brother Eye: Why are you doing this to me, Creator? You can trust me to do what is right. You cannot trust them. You can never trust them again after all they have done. Batman: I'll take my chances. (Hal Jordan rescues him.)
Meaning Batman is now somehow "cool" with Mindwipe Inc. Exactly why he ever wanted to work with Mindwipe Inc. again totally eludes me.
Because Infinite Crisis had that whole thing going on of 'yeah these people have done shitty things, but they can be *better*'. Which, sure, fine. People deserve the chance to make up for what they've done. IC just did it while slapping people in the face at the same time for daring to like Earth-Two Superman and others.
To say nothing of the fact that the trinity resolved to be better people, and even appointed Black Canary as leader of the new JLA, only to undermine that by doing stuff behind her back, leaving her with a ramshackle group, and other heroes undermining her like Hal and Ollie establishing their own JL group do to the things other people weren't willing to do... Which is precisely the kind of bullshit that got them into the hole they dug during Identity Crisis.
Oh yeah, Cry for justice. Where Hal and Ollie take justice in their hands, torture people, and argue they do not deserve rights as human beings. isn't it nice to see them NOT learning from the mistake that ended CREATING BROTHER EYE?
and, to put the cherry on the cake, after spending the entire story playing prometheus game by actin glike that, Prometheus calling them out on the brainwash thing, and being partially responsible for what happens to roy and his daughter. how does the book end? with Ollie killing prometheus and saying "justice". OLLIE DID NOT LEARN ANYTHING FROM ALL THIS CRAP! people try to say Batman/Superman are a menace but no, Ollie is the menace.
