This is the Joker story I most remember from my childhood.







The Joker shows a short film real of him, and his goons running away from a highest, only to be confronted by The Batman (played here by a little person).





Az-Bats comes across a woman being accosted by the Universal Monsters.

In Joker's case, I saw it more as a "Hollywood" ponytail. To go with the rest of his getup.

This kind of thing actually strikes me as a natural evolution of the Joker. because I see him as more of an evil comedian than an evil clown, and what better career progression than sitting in the director's chair? Mel Brooks, Woody Allen you name it.

Except Kevin Smith. He started as a director and then became a comedian... By telling stories about being a director.

Awww... I'd so wanted to post this as part of my "Every Chuck Dixon Joker Story Ever" series...

Eh, whatever. As far as I'm concerned, this is *the* greatest Joker story people have never heard of, and it's always the first thing I go to when people badmouth Chuck Dixon/90s Batman/the Joker in general. The entire thing is a wild, wild romp from beginning to end that, IMO, actually *benefits* from Bruce not being in the cowl.
