Maybe it's because Sinestro is the title character, but the Korugarians (?) sound like spiteful ingrates. Sinestro really thinks he had to take over Korugar for its own good (and to protect them from the Khunds, if that part is still in continuity). And as the result, the Korugarians hate him and all Green Lanterns, and the rest of the universe hates Korugar.

I miss this Katma Tui, the fiery freedom-fighter who, despite being a normal person, helped put an end to tyranny overseen by a man with the power of a god. No wonder John fell for her.

Volthoom, the First Lantern destroyed it in a rampage. Sinestro was there and did desperately try to save it, but he ultimately failed and the planet blew up and killed everyone. It's what motivated Sinestro in the first place to take back his yellow ring so he could get revenge.

I like seeing Soranik (reluctantly) teaming up with her dad. Their interactions are fun.

This is pretty solidly written, but I still feel it's get more traction if it had the tag-line "The Adventures of Space Hitler!"
