Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Being the person someone goes to to piss off their spouse must be pretty problematic. Even moreso when the person who's supposed to be on your side is actively fanning the flames.
I have to wonder how Johnny thought romancing the still technically married Queen of the Inhumans was ever a good idea. Their personalities aren't even remotely similar when comparing Medusa's royal and politics-flavored life with Johnny's free and easy lifestyle. Then again, it's Johnny and he'd probably jump at the chance before even considering the consequences.

If we're assuming that she's doing it to make Black Bolt jealous, instead of it being "This is exactly what it looks like, I am moving on in my life and this is who I choose to move on with"

I mean, she does specifically say "It is not my intent to cause you pain." So hopefully that does mean she doesn't give a damn about making him jealous, and just wants some actual affection in her life.

Johnny Storm is an InHuman now, I'm calling it.

Marvel is determined to make everyone an InHuman rather than a Mutant to spite 20th Century Fox for not giving them back the X-Men and The Fant4stic. They'll kill off the B, C, & D list Mutants with the Terrigan Mists (while making InHuman replacements) and suddenly "discover" that all their really popular characters that didn't die were really InHumans rather than Mutants, mutates, Atlanteans, or wtf all along. Blackagar Boltagan and Medusa are cousins as well as husband and wife. Medusa is all over Johnny, because, surprise, he's now an Omega level InHuman and she needs an heir. Her and Blackbolt's DNA produced Uhura who's supposed to be "inferior" by InHuman standards.

Well, this is what the cool kids want, right? I mean, isn't that the reason that Marvel is forcing the dreadfully boring Inhumans down our throats? Because they know dreadfully boring will sell lots of comics and movie tickets, right?

i never found them boring... but never did like them more than x-men.

One of the first times I ever saw the Wondy/Beast team was in Dazzler #21, when she had her big concert at Carnegie Hall and all her superhero pals showed up. Being the young thing that I was, I thought Beast was some sort of weird pet/sidekick. (I was... 8? Dear god! My parents clearly had no idea what sort of comics I was reading!)

I miss the Beast of old, before he got reconfigured into All Science All Gloom.

I wonder if it's just the coloring here or if he's supposed to be more grey than blue.

Part of the reason I want Wonder Man in the MCU is so we can get a reference to his friendship with Hank, even if it is an Easter Egg.

Still Johnny was Crystals first boyfriend (as far as I know), and Crystal is Medusas...what cousin? Sister?

This is also interesting when compared to Crystals falunting her affairs to Pietro in "Son of M."

As I recall (my memory may be faulty) Johnny and Crystal were still dating when Medusa was a member of the FF.

Wait, really? Huh. Teach me to assume from limited context. All the times I ever saw her she appeared to be in the standard "outsider princess" vein. No idea she was Medusa's sister.

Which makes it even more awkward with Johnny having spent time with them both.

I actually like Medusa being a total grown-up about this. It shows her not only refusing to be embarassed for her own romantic agency, but giving her ex credit that he's not going to be a whiny pissbaby and turn this into a fight to the death.

Out of curiosity, has Beast ever been called out on his insane hypocricy concerning Cyclops and his attitude towards him?

It looks like #600 will be doing that.

Great, thanks. In a way I like Beast and I have no problems with hypocritical characters, but when it is never addressed it just starts hurting my head.

I do hope that, similarly, they can get around to admitting that Cyclops is right about, while not everything, at least a good amount of stuff.
