That's not how things work in the MU.
America is a teen character, a recent character and a C/D-lister, that's why the odds are pretty high that she'll die at some point.
And that she won't get funerals is several different comics, like Mr "I was in a movie".

That's really good. In only two pages, they managed to show who MAC is, what her relationship with Kate is and how she reacts to death.

I like the idea that someone who travels to alternate universes (which I thought didn't exist since Secret Wars, but....) would have a different view of mortality.

Just there's a lot less, so Reed Richards and the Future Foundation are rebuilding them all.

I think Kate was just being snarky since Tony's a bit of a control freak having him experience someone micro-managing him would be some kind of multiversal karma. I don't think it's supposed to be read like she genuinely wishes Rhodey to be a bad boss.

nah, if the lgbt pairing involves a poc, then the shipper tends to hate those as well. Or just as bad, they say they like it, and then ignore it and use it as little more than background filler as they ship their white boy ship.

You must adopt a shipper's mindset first. And read hidden intent into America's words.

1. She feels guilty knowing that she's going out alone with a woman she's attracted to while she's in a committed relationship.

2. She feels the need to make excuses for her behavior, saying that her girlfriend "won't mind," to conceal the fact that the prime motivation for this multiversal road trip is her attraction to Kate.

Basically, shippers are like alien conspiracy theorists. We take the smallest bit of information and twist it to suit our nefarious purposes.

I am aware of that scene. Still, this looks like the stereotypical case of a lesbian chasing a mostly straight girl, which may or may not be "doomed" if all you want is a fling with an experimenting straight girl, but will still likely end in disappointment if you expect more than that...

...apparently I've hit the point that I have expectations based on the number of stories I have heard about the pitfalls of being a lesbian.

Depends on what the writers ship, though.
