Exactly! That's what I thought when I read and reviewed this one.

But ignoring that, this was such a blah issue. Just so forgettable.

I have to question the creation of the Reaper, which seems to have exactly the same basic mission, and gimmick, as Starro the Conqueror, without any of the memorable visuals of the starfish based precursors to the "Alien" face-huggers.

Yeah. This just seems like a dull extreeem! makeover for Starro. There's even the aquatic telepathy connection.

Which is extra-pointless since Starro already comes in a dozen different flavors. The Star Conquerors from Morrison's JLA, the Sinestro Corps version, the humanoid Conqueror from R.E.B.E.L.S...whatever the writer wanted to do with these Reapers, it would have made more sense as another flavor of Starro.

I kinda like that. Bruce is correct in that it appears pretty damn suspect, and f**king finally, we have internal logical narrative being placed over pointless homage.

I mean, I'm sure Bruce will get there eventually, and I'm fine with that. Buts lets see the journey, eh?

The pose makes it looks like he's doing the whole "throw the lightning you generate when you run" trick the TV Flash does. So I guess they're adding that to Comic-Barry's bag of tricks.

No, no. Disproven. Dismissed sounds like there's a possibility they exist, which is as ludicrous as saying that they do and have indoctrinated us to say they don't. Which is ludicrous. Really. Would I have been indoctrinated to lie?

If the Superman we have now is classic!Superman from the pre-Flashpoint Earth, would he really need a reassuring conversation to Lois about getting back into the game? And saying 'they dealt with it' of the Justice League of the New52 is... Kinda meaningless when they too had a Superman they relied on.

This has been his post-Crisis costume since he ditched the beard.

It's just that a lot of artists are applying a hilarious amount of shadows in the briefs area to create the illusion of briefs.

I don't know... it's not very inspired, but there's not anything about it that makes me grind my teeth like a lot of the New 52 stuff I've seen snippets of.

Motto. I mean, it's not the greatest League story ever written, but it feels solid enough. A little rote, perhaps, but a lot better than much of the Nu52 material by leaps-and-bounds.

I keep wondering how Superman could work with these guys? They look like people he knew, but they're not. That would be incredibly odd, how does he know he can trust them at all? Batman's made no qualms about being hostile in attitude towards him.

For Post-Crisis Superman, that's probably comforting and familiar.

I see him being far more uneasy about Diana having had a romantic relationship with his younger doppelganger.
