FWIW Slott and Bendis (at least) have both apparently pushed to bring back the Spider-marriage but it's the higher ups who are refusing to budge.

Yeah, but if Bendis likes something its because he doesn't care about/understand the characters/continuity, and Slot could bring world peace to the table and people would still claim he only did for anti-Spider-Marrige reasons/because he hates Peter Parker.

Not really, he was part of the original Secret Wars, then there's the matter of those alien symbiotes and of course the clones.

And that dude that is obsessed with dinosaurs. Peter's has had share of the fantastic.
