After discovering that the Terrigen Cloud will saturate the globe and make it inhabitable to mutants, the X-Men vote to neutralize the Inhumans so they can destroy it.
Right, cause Black Bolt's only power is his voice, not super strength, durability, the Master Blow, just his voice. As if he's never battled the likes of Thor, Thing, or the Hulk.
Isn't global saturation a problem for the Inhumans too? Either 1) it will be diluted to the point where it no longer triggers Inhuman powers, or 2) it will trigger the power of every potential Inhuman at once. So no more choosing the right adolescents-- everyone who could have Inhuman powers will immediately get them. Including criminals, crazy people, and newborns.
A baby with Black Bolt's powers? I don't see how that can possibly go wrong!
Johnny Storm should either side with the X-men or sit this one out, a mess. But he is human, and anti-mutant sentiment is something he'd be capable of.
I always found that a missed opportunity, in the same way men simply can't avoid being sexist (from the get go i mean, they need to have the sensitivity taught to them), and people can't avoid racism, humans probably cant avoid anti-mutant sentiment. So you'd probably have quite a few problematic superheroes.
I know superheroes are supposed to be shining beacons of goodness, but they never act like that anymore anyway, so i think making a few problematic and actively learning through it would be cool.
She actually got a pretty sweet makeover halfway through A-Force that did a good job splitting the difference of Bendis's redesign vs. her more traditional look.
A-Force was a rocky series overall but man it did good with regards to Dazzler.
Seems Beast was focusing on making the cloud non-fatal to mutants. There's another possible solution: make more Terrigen, then destroy the cloud. Is there some in-universe explanation why all those geniuses can't recreate Terrigen?
Or option two: gather some of the cloud up and seal it where the Inhumans have access. Then destroy the rest of the cloud.
you know it is a damn shame that they didn't have a mutant who had the power to manipulate molecular bonds, who could have, I don't know, rather then destroy the cloud(s) turn them into crystals or something, so that the exposure to the gas could be contained.
So my understanding is that the Terrigen Cloud(s) going around are made up of all the Terrigen Crystals that Atillan had. They have no more Terrigen Crystals, so can't make any more Terrigen Mist, so they need the Cloud(s) to give Inhumans superpowers.
But what about the other Inhuman enclaves which have recently been shown, like Utolan in Mozambique (where flint's birth parents are from), or Orollan in Greenland (where Thanos' half-Inhuman son was kept), or Ennilux in Venice? Do they not have Terrigen Crystals/Mist?
And what about contacting the Kree? Are they not the ones who left the Terrigen Crystals on Earth? Crystal was married to Ronan the Accuser for a time, couldn't they use that connection to get some more TC?
"Hey Kree, whassup? It's the inhumans, former conquerors of your planet? I know we kinda just... left you to your own devices suddenly, but it was an ancient prophecy, multiple brides, yada yada. I don't even remember, it's not like the writers these days do. So yeah, can we have a favor? ...hello? Hello?"
Terrigen was a post-Kree development I think. But there is the huge seep Dr. Nemesis discovered. Of course, no reason for the mutants to share that info with the Inhumans. They are liable to use it to make more clouds.
Well. I like the way Karnak is a nonissue for Jean. The mutants are massively more powerful than most Inhumans and have counter for most of the ones they can't just overpower. Reader and the Unspoken are the only wild cards.
Magneto though... he looks old, but physically he should be in his early thirties or late twenties. And its not "Magneto" to Crystal Amaquelin. Its "Eric" Remember? Her and Charles are the two people who call you Eric.
You probably have your own key for the battleship.
And Johnny... Franklin hasn't asked if you want to use the word "Mutie" to his face then? He probably will someday. Of course, not thinking through how much of his immediate family are mutants is in-character for Johnny Storm.
I do like how surgical the X-Men's attack is, and frankly, it should be. Every X-Man gets like a million hours in the danger room, after all.
That said, I'd bet money that there isn't a team focused on destroying the cloud as the X-Men launch these attacks, if only to prolong this dumb mini series.
Sigh. If only mutants had some sort of bond with the Inhumans, like maybe Magneto's son marrying one of their royal family and siring an inhuman-mutant hybrid daughter.
But that's crazy talk. Magneto only has one child, and that's Polaris.
Whelp sucks to be both of them poor, Johnny he needs to gtfo out of this hot unholy mess. Let this be solved by the X-men and Inhumans their problem their mess.
While I still don't have a lot of sympathy for the Inhumans in the course of this conflict, I fear the X-Men are crossing the line into unsympathetic as well.
I firmly believe the X-Men are in the right for wanting the Cloud destroyed, but terrorist actions like the X-Men are doing here don't help.

Johnny's nephew is a mutant, I think his niece is too. His children probably are as well.

Wait, I forgot, he's not Pietro's real dad any more. Still, he thought of her as a granddaughter, that's got to be a bit painful.
