I am not a biologist, but I was under the distinct impression that the blueprint for the human body was coded in DNA in individual cells, not stored in one section of the brain?
You're quite right about there being no part of the brain that keeps a blueprint of the body, but saying DNA is the blueprint for life turns out to be a gross oversimplification.
I felt like this really started the trend of 'the armor is actually paper tissue'. Before this, it always seemed like Iron Man was in the upper echelon of Marvel bruisers. After this story line, it felt like the armor was getting wrecked every Tuesday.
That, and they've started to constantly do the 'oh, your armour is outdated, whatever shall you do?' plot over and over. It came up from time to time before this storyline, obviously, but from this point on, it sometimes felt like it was every second or third story arc.
The other thing is that this is the story arc that once and for all abandoned Tonys constant battle with trying to balance between human and machine. He'd had cybernetic parts before, but the state he was in by the end of this arc... Yeah.
