What are these Tornadoes made of, anyway?

Weapons-grade plotonium. The strongest stuff known to man until you run into a plot device... like a martial artist with a pointy stick.

This really does reinforce how -silly- archer characters can be, and how they never run out of arrows until the plot demands it.

I don't mind a weirdly huge supply of arrows, but it really came across as super-fragile 'robots'.

Yeah...why is he monologuing about his strategy to get around how tough they are in the same panel where he decapitates two of them with one shot? Clearly their durability is not an issue in the first place.

Or how Black Canary can stab one *three dozen times* without it being able to stop her.

The actual powerhouses of the team should tear through these like tissue paper, even the street levelers weren't having a rough time of it.

At the least, they did convey the idea that this would not be the Morrison/etc. era larger than life team pretty quickly!

An actual powerhouse of the team (grudgingly lookin' at you, Hal) did tear through them like tissue paper. The drama built up by the previous issue about a handful of heroes facing a literal army of Tornados (Tornadoes? Not sure about the spelling, somebody get Dan Quayle in here) falls pretty flat.

Like, Dinah had time to stab them several dozen times. Was Jordan just sitting there beaming them one at a time before?

Seems like. Then again, this is the guy who was given a weapon whose only limit is his own imagination, and uses it to make an endless array of giant green fists.

Kyle would either do something more creative and useful, or at the least, have the decency to be useless in a giant robot construct.
